The Maison des Têtes was built in 1530 by the consul of Valence Antoine de Dorne with the flamboyant gothic style. He was also a teacher for laws.
It has been very well restored.
It owes its name to the presence of numerous sculpted heads. The front of the house features the winds, fortune and time and symbolic
figures such as Theology, law and Medecine. In the corridor, there are busts of roman Emperors and the inner courtyard the Church Fathers.
Inside, you can find the municipal department "Valence Ville d'Art et d'Histoire"which offers guided tours, an exhibition "Valence 2000 years of
history"...
Not to be missed : La Maison DUPRE-LATOUR, built around 1520, with its remarkable sculpted door on the inner courtyard staircase
