They came into existence in 1942 when the famous drawer going to antibes, had to wait in Valence for his train. The famous sketcher had been moved by the sight of a charming violin player who, on leaving after the concert walked away under the lime trees on the Champ de Mars with one arm around his pretty girl-friend's waist and the other carrying his violin case.
