CATHEDRALE ST APOLLINAIRE

The cathedral's chancel was consecrated in 1095 by pope Urbain II on his way to Clermont in order to promulgate the first crusade. The decor is "Velay style with polychromatic stone-work. Partially destroyed in 1567 during the war of Religion, the church was built identically in the 17th century. So, you can find antiques bases mixed with romanic style used in Massif central and Rhone Valley.

Go into the church by the northern door and come out by the southern door to the place where the Pendentif takes place. It has been built in 1548 and known eveywhere for his vault perfection. It has been one of the first french monument which has been classified as an historical monument.
